There can be many situations where one would want to sell their practice, they can be personal and unique, some of the common reasons we have found are:

  • Firm has no natural successor, and will be shutting in say 5 years

Working after selling your firm?


Some acquirers might expect you to continue working after the transaction. This depends on the nature of your business, your clients and the individual requirements of the acquirer and you as well.

We believe that there should be some handholding period after the transaction where the acquiree continues to ensure smooth transition and handing over of employees and clients.

This also helps ensure that the claw back is as low as possible, protecting the valuation you have received




How does the process to list start?


You need to be confident that your anonymity will be retained so that neither your staff nor your clients or competitors will be made aware of the sale until you can introduce the new owner to them in a controlled manner. To ensure this, the first step for us is to enter into a confidentiality agreement with you.
